The FlexRT5184 router is a high-performance carrier-class Ethernet service aggregation switch with the industry's highest performance, best integration and highest reliability. The FlexRT7184 router is designed for multiservice adaptation, aggregation and routing of traffic in modern Ethernet and IP/MPLS infrastructures. With the help of special service modules to the FlexRT7184 router, operators can add new services built on deep packet analysis (DPI) technology to their portfolio. Compared with the practice of using specialized network elements to provide services, FlexRT7184 service modules allow better integration of services into the provider's network, have higher performance, scalability and lower power consumption. The service modules support several modes of operation: Application Assuarance (Deep DPI Packet analysis technology), video services mode, fast channel change/retransmission or insertion of advertising, IPsec mode, network address Translation (NAT) and L2TP/GRE technology.
